Our Vision and Goals
The HC Road Map
Our vision to be a church focused on leading people in thriving relationships with Jesus Christ and one another. To help our partners have clear pictures of what to aim at in their quest to become authentic and real Christians, we have created four distinct goals to paint this picture.
TAKE MY NEXT BOLD STEP
I am a leader and will take bold steps to develop my relationship with Jesus both emotionally and devotionally.
Taking the first step is always the hardest in any realm of life. It takes courage. It takes humility. It takes a willingness to know that you might fail the first time. Weekend services serve as the doorway of Heartland Church, inviting people into an atmosphere to be challenged to take the first step into hearing about Jesus, receiving the gift of salvation, baptism, and partnership. More often than not, our willingness to boldly go where we haven't before, will produce results we never dreamed of before. That's why a Sunday at Heartland Church will challenge you to take the next step in your relationship with God challenging you to live your best life...today.
INVEST AND INVITE
I will invite people to enter into true relationships and invest in the lives of others.
An investment doesn’t see its results overnight. It takes time for a good investment to show the fruit. In the same way, we should treat people in the same vein, taking time to invest in them, not being ashamed to invite them, and having continual God conversations with them. To obtain a true spirit of discipleship, we must tell our stories of freedom and create environments to lead people deeper into communities following Jesus. We need to see and experience God in and through others and additionally, we need to be challenged, sharpened and encouraged by others…and others need to be challenged, sharpened and encouraged by us. Connection happens through choice, not by convenience. GroupLife gives you the opportunity to move beyond acquaintances to friends. You need friends who will encourage one another day after day (Hebrews 3:12-14); stimulate one another to love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24-25); restore one another in a spirit of gentleness (Galatians 6:1); bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2); and live for one another’s progress and joy in the faith (Philippians1:23-25).

LIVE GENEROUSLY
I will give of my time, talents and finances.
Serving is the chief expression of our commitment to the Great Commission and the Great Commandment. It is impossible to achieve results without serving through time, talent and finances. Serving isn't about me; it’s about others. Achieving results isn't about my greatness; it’s about God’s greatness. Serving is about loving God more and loving people more and doing what’s best for the interest of the church body instead of our physical body. Obedience unlocks understanding, so when we live our lives apart from obedience, we intellectualize results instead of achieve results. God will achieve results through us when we worship freely, we tithe freely, and when we serve freely. When we live our lives out in this way, the church becomes the type of place where people say, “You HAD to be there!”

LIVE WITHOUT LIMITS
I will live open to the truth that God is intimately involved in every facet of my life and desire to remove Him from my " box."
Without question, most believers can remember a time in their life where they came in contact with a demonstration of God's presence that either solidified or confirmed their faith in Him. Yet, most Christians live life quickly forgetting how each event in our life is intimately shaped and initiated by God to move us closer to him. By accepting the fact that "through God, all things are possible", we give God the opportunity to demonstrate his power in our lives. Rather than denying the supernatural because of our humanistic tendencies, we must embrace the Holy Spirit and His gifts. Therefore, we will create environments for better understanding and unique demonstrations in the local church for God's spirit to do as He wills for the edification of the church. Whether it's life that brings it about, or a simple moving of his spirit through others, we must open our minds to the fact that God works through divine interruptions today just as He did throughout scripture.
