Baptism

Making Your Relationship Public

Heartland Church believes that baptism is a public declaration of a private decision made to life a live surrendered to Christ.   Such as wedding rings doesn’t make a married couple, baptism doesn’t make a Christian, a Christian.  Rather it is an outward sign of the life change that has already begun in the life of a believer after they have entered into new life with Jesus.

At Heartland Church we baptize through immersion following the model of Christ's baptism and that of the first century church.  Baptism is simply a symbolic act of the washing away of sins.  It does not serve as a partnership requirement but is rather a proclamation of a believer’s life and the first step in the process of discipleship.
