Communion
Remembering the Sacrifice
At Heartland we believe that communion is a time when Christ-followers remember the past in order to live for the future. We take communion for three reasons:
Remember the sacrifice
Confess our sins
Receive the forgiveness
According to scripture, there is no set requirement on the amount of times we must take communion except that when you do it, you should do it in remembrance of Christ.
Because we desire for communion to be a special and spiritually significant event, we usually celebrate communion four to eight times a year in our Sunday worship services.
