What is Lighten UP?
Lighten UP is a dynamic weekend seminar designed to give participants a chance to slow down and reflect on their underlying beliefs about God and how those beliefs affect responses to everyday life. Lighten UP provides the opportunity to remove any barriers that prevent us from living blessed lives, filled with His light. 

This is experienced through active participation, not lectures or preaching. Singles, married couples and friends are invited to participate in this special weekend of reflection and allow God to create unique results, specific to each person’s spiritual walk.  Long-lasting relationships are developed during the seminar as people share special spiritual moments together.

As a result of your participation in this seminar, you can expect to:

  • Recognize how your God image influences your faith
  • Learn to embrace God-given growth experiences
  • Experience healing while releasing inaccurate thinking
  • Celebrate freedom from past judgments
  • Embrace the gift of Jesus Christ

Our Next Lighten Up seminar takes place on Friday, September 23rd & Saturday, September 24th.
(Completion times are approximate)
Friday: 7:30pm – 10:00pm
Saturday: 9:30pm – 6:00pm

Lighten UP is facilitated by a highly qualified couple, Duncan and Jan MacDougall. As active members of Heartland Church, Duncan and Jan present spiritual, marital and women’s retreats, as well as sponsoring a monthly effort that introduces seekers to Jesus Christ.  They currently offer personal growth seminars in varied formats through their company, The Inspired Life.
